Q: What is required to enter residential care?
A: You need to have a completed Aged Care Assessment which is provided by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) (http://www.health.gov.au/internet/main/publishing.nsf/Content/ageing-rescare-aaform.htm)
and they will supply a copy of the Asset Assessment Form. Without this we cannot start the process.
Q: How do I get placed on Masonic Homes’ waitlist?
A: You should complete the forms in the application pack, which can be downloaded and printed here, or you can call 1300 132 132 to have one posted out to you. Once you send them in the process starts.

Q: What can I bring with me?
A: We encourage our residents to personalise their new home. Items such as personal clothing, small personal items such as photo frames are welcome. Bringing larger items of furniture needs to be discussed with the manager of the individual facility.
Q: Can I have my own Doctor?
A: Yes, this is encouraged when Doctor visits home
Q: Is there 24 hour care provided?
A: Yes, qualified staff are on hand every day of the year.
Q: Is there a lifestyle program?
A: Yes, all of our facilities offer lifestyle programs and residents can choose to partake in as many of the activities as they like.
Q: Can I go out with my family or friends?
A: Absolutely, we very much encourage family and friends to continue to be involved in their loved ones care and are always welcome to visit or take residents for outings
Q: Can I have my own phone?
A: Yes, but this must be arranged and paid for by the individual.
Q: Can we come and take a look?
A: Yes, appointments can be made to visit your preferred location by calling 1300 132 132.
Q: Are your facilities all fully accredited?
A: Yes, we are proud of our accreditation record and all our facilities carry full 3 year accreditation
